Shut Up! It's Shakespeare, is a student-led theatre troupe at Shenandoah University. Their production of Macbeth, set in the 9th circle of hell from Dante's inferno, was based on the idea that the characters infinitely relive their tragedy in hell. This performance was an immersive walk through experience sponsored by Figure 53 and featured a creative team comprised only of students. ​I used a combination of traditional and LED fixtures borrowed from students and local theaters with several small DMX controlled dimmer packs placed around the 10,000 square foot performance space. The sponsorship from Figure 53, afforded the creative team the opportunity to use Qlab to trigger light cues that were built using Loomin, a computer-based lighting console made by Alec Sparks.
