The Typists is the first of two one act plays performed together. I faced a challenge when designing a plot and choosing color to use for both shows. ​Typists featured both a hyper realistic office set and lighting. I researched photographs of offices from the 1940s to the 1980s. This show takes place over the course of one work day; I used color correction gel in order to discretely manipulate the color to give the impression of time moving from morning to evening. It featured two wall sconces and an LED overhead to give the impression of fluorescent tube lighting.
